eXtract Histrogram (PHA). This command is only valid if you have
read a FITS file containing events data and have specified a column
corresponding to spectral data (generally PI or PHA) is used. All
events within the current inner bounds are read into the source
spectrum, Events outside the inner bounds, but inside the outer bounds
are included in the background spectrum. The raw spectra are first
displayed on the overlay device. When you quit out the PLT> prompt,
you will then be asked to enter a filename. If you do not wish to
create an output file, then enter a blank line (default).
The data file is read again and so the resulting spectra are independent
of the current offset and compression.
